Evidence-based interventions include:​

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), the gold-standard intervention for children ages 2-7 with oppositional and defiant behaviors, uses a live parent coaching model to enhance the parent-child attachment relationship and foster effective parenting strategies to improve child compliance and emotion regulation. 

  • PCIT-SM, an adaptation of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for the treatment of Selective Mutism, works to increase verbalizations across people, places, and environments. 

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on understanding patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to change stuck habits and build effective coping strategies. 

  • Organizational Skills Training (OST) uses behavioral skills training techniques to help children and teens with ADHD improve organizational functioning at home and school to reduce homework problems and improve academic performance.
